Altar Guild -
The Altar Guild is responsible for preparing the sanctuary for Sunday worship by properly setting and changing the altar linens. Members organize the Paschal candle for Easter and baptisms, display the Advent wreath during Advent, and arrange the Nativity scene at Christmas. For every church service, an Altar Guild member ensures the altar is reverently and appropriately prepared. Acolytes -
Acolytes assist the priest at the altar and during processions. They vest for the service and remain with the priest in the chancel prior to worship. For more information about becoming an acolyte, please contact Cathy Morrell or the parish office at 623‑974‑8404, or email: info@desertsaints.org.
Chalice Bearers -
Chalice Bearers assist with serving the wine during Holy Communion by coming forward from the congregation at the Eucharistic Prayer. For more information about this ministry, please contact Cathy Morrell or the parish office at 623‑974‑8404, or email: info@desertsaints.org.
Choir -
The Choir helps lead and enhance worship each Sunday morning at 10:00 a.m. from September through May. The choir is directed and accompanied by our Music Director, David Zych. All are welcome to join, regardless of musical experience or the ability to read music. Rehearsals are held on Wednesday evenings from 5:45 to 7:00 p.m., except during the summer months. Greeters and Ushers -
Greeters and ushers are an essential part of our Sunday worship services. Greeters are often the first people parishioners encounter, offering a warm welcome, distributing worship materials, answering questions, and providing guidance as needed. Ushers (Vestry Members) assist during the service by presenting the congregation’s offering at the altar and directing worshipers to the communion rail during the Eucharist.
