Vestry Responsibilities


The vestry is the legal representative of the parish with regard to all matters pertaining to its corporate property. The number of vestry members and the term of office varies from parish to parish. Vestry members are usually elected at the annual parish meeting. The presiding officer of the vestry is the rector. There are usually two wardens. The senior warden leads the parish between rectors and is a support person for the rector. The junior warden often has responsibility for church property and buildings. A treasurer and a secretary or clerk may be chosen. These officers may or may not be vestry members. The basic responsibilities of the vestry are to help define and articulate the mission of the congregation; to support the church’s mission by word and deed, to select the rector, to ensure effective organization and planning, and to manage resources and finances.

Rev. Canon Harry Way
Interim Rector
Father Harry is serving a second term as our Interim Rector. He is known for his wisdom and kindness, his inspiring Bible Study classes, his attentive listening, and his steadfast support as a member of our Vestry. 
Kevin NiCastro
Senior Warden
Kevin NiCastro was appointed Senior Warden for the 2026 Vestry. His background in business and his management style have been beneficial and added a strength to the Vestry.  
Deborah Brown
Junior Warden
Deb works closely with the Rector, and the Senior Warden to assist in the running of the church family.  Her main responsibility is to work as a connector to parishioners while assisting the Building and Grounds Committee.
Jeff Argotsinger
Vestry Member
Jeff joined the Vestry in 2026.  He also serves as All Saints Assistant Treasurer.  He has extensive business experience.
John Jauch
John joined our Vestry in 2026 and has expansive experience in business that benefits the Vestry.
Cyndi Haines
Vestry Member
Cyndi joined our Vestry in 2026.  She is also a member of the Buildings and Grounds Committee and the Finance Committee.  She  has extensive experience in business and is an active volunteer on various committees.
Pam Magrogan McGrath
Vestry Member
Pam joined the Vestry in 2024 and is  a member of the choir.  She has experience in business, computers, computer software and hardware. She serves on the IT team with Mike Hohl and developed and manages the ASOD website.
Sue Prendergast
Vestry Member
Sue joined the Vestry in 2026.  She is a former educator and an active volunteer on with the Vet's Luncheons, and the Desert Angels Women's Group.  She organized the All Saints Book Club. 
Rachel Wight
Vestry Member
Rachel joined the Vestry in 2026.  Her creative thinking has been a great benefit to the Vestry.  She is active volunteer on many projects.
Shelly McBride
Clerk of the Vestry
Shelly serves as our Vestry clerk and records, in written form, all the business that the Vestry conducts.  She presents the Vestry with the Minutes of the Vestry each  month.
Mike Hohl
Ex-officio Member of the Vestry, and Treasurer for All Saints of the Desert
Mike is a businessman and has an extensive knowledge of computers, software, and historical insight after working on many Vestries over many years.  He serves on the IT committee with Pam Magrogan McGrath.
